A cookie database that understands your site
Waulter maintains a dynamic database of cookies, local storage, and session storage. Automatic categorization, clear descriptions, and regular updates.
Why you need a cookie database
Every website uses dozens to hundreds of cookies and storage items. Czech legislation requires you to inform visitors about each one — including its purpose, duration, and category.
Manual management is not realistic. Cookies change with every analytics, ad platform, or plugin update.
How the Waulter database works
- Automatic scan — Waulter regularly scans your site and detects new cookies, local storage, and session storage items.
- Categorization — each item is assigned to the correct category (necessary, analytics, marketing, functional).
- Clear descriptions — the database includes human-readable descriptions for common cookies.
- Automatic updates — when new cookies are detected, the database updates and notifies you.
What the database covers
- HTTP cookies (first-party and third-party)
- Local storage
- Session storage
- IndexedDB (detection)
- Cookie duration and category
- Source (the service that creates the cookie)
